Need some info on a truck I am going to build

Hi all,
I recently picked up a 1950 GMC Pickup. I want to say it is a 3/4 ton but I am not sure.That is where I need the help.
the truck has 6 lug wheels and a 7 and a half foot bed. Is that considered the 3/4 ton or is that still a half ton? I am also looking for a bed to fit that truck so if anyone knows where to find one that info would be greatly appreciated. I am going to build this for a daily driver so the bed doesn't have to be new. I have checked all the catalogs like brothers and Mar-k and classic parts and they are quit pricey. I would rather go used if I can but these beds are hard to find.

Series FC-101 is a 1/2 ton
FC-102 1/2 ton
FC-152 3/4 ton
FP-152 3/4 ton
FC-251 1 ton
FC-252 1 ton
FC-253 1 ton
FC-281 1 ton

My guess with a 7 ft. bed would be that it's a 3/4 ton but I thought the beds were only 6 1/2
