First of all, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Luke, and I come from Malta, a very small island in the Mediterranean (just below Sicily and Italy), doubt any of you have ever been, or heard of it for that matter hehe.
I'm 22 (turning 23 in May) and I am in the process of buying one of my dream cars :)
Basically i'm in the final stages of negotiations with an owner of a 1964 Chevrolet Impala Convertible with an overhauled 283 V8 engine.
1 thing you have to understand, is that this is the ONLY 1964 Chevrolet Impala in my country, so I'm relying on you boys to help me out with info and technical stuff. I've already contacted www.impalas.com and www.carsinc.com with regards to parts, but feel free to recommend some personal suppliers.
The car is in fairly good condition, with the exception of a few "special" touches that the previous owner decided to make, which include:
- shaved door handles.
- non original interior
- half installing an auto shifter in the center console
- and removing the convertible roof. (which isn't a problem as it rarely rains in malta and this car is going to be used as a sunday driving classic)
without further delay, i'd like to post up a couple pics...let me know what you think and welcome me to the community
