Looks like original well boxes! Tailgate appears to be pretty flat too...

For those with more knowledge about this truck than me (could be almost anyone:rolleyes: )...

I'm looking at what is apparently a seam line along the back edge of the roof. Is this normal, or could this be car, modified into a pickup?

Anyway, the bed looks like it's supposed to...

The seam may indeed have been where the factory itself ''modified'' a sedan into the truck. (I believe I heard that a kit was available from Hudson for modifying cars into trucks.) Not only is the bed "stock", but notice the fender mount spare; you usually found those only on trucks. The only thing that's blatantly non-stock, that I can see, is the battery box in the engine compartment.

I beleive Jon is correct - there was a kit for dealers to modify cars into pickup trucks around that time. Jon, wasn't there one of these conversions running around the Pocono's (PA) or somewhere around there a few years ago. I think it surfaced again not to long ago - that was a '36 also. Belonged to some garage.

Not really appropriate on this particular thread, but here's an affordable 1937 pickup! (And storage space won't be a problem.) See my separate thread on these new models...

Looks like "Reserve not met" @ $3383.00. Bids that do not meet the reserve mean little/nothing, as there is no commitment on either side to follow through with the transaction - unless the seller lowers their reserve...

From the looks of the vehicles surrounding this one, it looks as if the seller has quite a few older & collectible vehicles stored. My guess is that they think that they have a 'rusty gold mine' on their hands, and probably have the reserve set @ 8-10k (or more).
