These are a little hard to see but I think I spotted a stepdown and a terraplane pickup...anyone care to guess? The first picture is the Seattle waterfront before the Alaskan Way Viaduct was built is that a Terraplane PU? - the second one after the hiway was built I think it's a stepdown from the roofline, split windshields and no turns...

Hi, The car looks like a 1951 or '52 Plymouth, The truck looks like a 1937 Chevy. Also several Fords, the rear of a Buick, and the rear of Plymouth or Dodge. Steve

The light colored car, in the near middle of the 1st picture, behind the big box truck, appears to be a '36 or '37 Hudson or Terraplane.

Rear window shape on the car at the very bottom, left of center, looks suspiciously "Hudsonish." Also, at the far left side, the car third in front of the box truck appears to be a '38 H or T.

I think old pictures are so COOL!!! Do you think the kids of today will be looking at these pictures years from now,or will they be looking at pictures of foreign cars with the suspension lowered and lights underneath.Of coarse, you won't be able to tell what these newer cars are, especially because there isn't enough metal in them to last 20 years, not to speak of 70 years.

I have a number of pictures of old Hudsons - from 1909-1957 - on my MSN web site @

Having saved the pic, and blown it up to twice the size, I reckon the greyish car on the extreme left is a '38 H 112, the coupe in the centre is a '29 Essex. The cars in the immediate foreground (rear views) are a '36 Hudson on the left, and '34 terraplane on the right, although the one on the right could also be a '34 chevy, they had very similar shaped rear windows. It's also possible that the car behind the Essex coupe could be a '38 Hudson 6 or 8 coupe.
