Hey Hudnuts,

Someone sent me an Email to ID the car in this photo.. I'm guessing an early '20's Super Six but can someone pinpoint it from this limited view? Guy in the pic is a family member of this guy who Emailed me. It's from WI.

Drum headlights make it between 1922-1926 - I'd almost go as far as to say this is probably a 1925 or 1926 Model.

'25 model, according to the shape of the fenders, the painted radiator shell, and the front glass going right down into the corner. '24 had a straight-bottomed front window, and '26 had plated shell. Nit pickers unite!

Hey fellow knit-pickers........ Here's the response I got from the gentleman who supplied the photo.:

"Hello Aaron,

Thanks so much for all the investigation you've done for me on this one. You
guys are great!

The Hudson actually belonged to my grandfather and that photo was taken in
Wautoma, Wisconsin at his summer home.

My Dad, who's in the picture, looks to be about 18-19 or so. He was born in
1907 so that makes the photo date to about 1925 or 26 so that's right on.
And you're correct. It was a 4 door sedan.

My Grandpa always used to tell me about his Hudsons and what great cars they
were. During these years he had his own business in Milwaukee and could
probably have afforded whatever he wanted to buy. But he chose Hudson and
for good reason. He told me he owned early Oldsmobiles and had nothing but
trouble. He always went back to Hudson because of their reliability. Only
after loosing his business in the Depression was he forced to buy a Chevy.

Thanks again for your help. I know I have another, more front-on, picture of
this car that shows more of it. When I find it I'll pass it along to you to
verify your findings.

Okay Lewis, I'll meet you halfway, and say it could be a early series '26, which of course was identical to a late series '25!
