ON THE "53" HORNET WITH HYDRAMATIC TRANS, IS THERE A FLAP IN THE CARPETING TO GET AT THE CAP TO CHECK THE TRANS. FLUID? OR DO YOU JUST PULL THE CARPET BACK?

Pull it back, but if somebody glued the carpet in, you'll have to cut a hole in the carpet for the transmision inspection plate and the master cylinder.
