Who'd have thought after 2-1/2 years and a move I'd lose something but...I could use a picture and details of the quarter panel bolts and washers for a early stepdown.:o
I believe the "washer" was not a typical shape or was shouldered onto the fastener.
Thing is I can't find ANY of my original ones...I think I found everything else though
I do remember at least 3 of them were completely rusted away and I broke 2 others taking the quarters off.
Does anyone have a good source for a new replacement set or good condition (not rusty) oem fastners?

are you talking the rear fender bolts?

Yes, specifically the ones that bolt across the top to the tailights - not the 3 that bolt down then jamb edge.

lemme look...
I thought they had a rectangular washer type affair, and were coarse threaded. Been a while since I had taken a fender off...

The washer/plate is about 2"x1",and the bolt is a 5/16th's body bolt. These are special,as you know, and can probably be purchased from Mel or Ron Falk.Look them up in your roster, they are in Nebraska. You might also try Jim Harmon-Oregon,or Stu Coleman,Mt..I'm sure there are more, just can't think of them right now.Good luck

Dan:
I have 10 extra, rusty but salvagable, PM me your address and I can send them the begining of the week. I think 10 will do one side.

If all else fails, I believe that you can use standard body bolts from GM vehicles by putting a tinnerman clip behind or on (depending on type) the lip of the body. Just 2 cents worth...

Yeah - I'm using some of those now fitting the hidden hinges in - but what I didn't want to have to do is re-create the 2"x1" washers that spread the load out.
I know what will happen - I'll buy replacements and then find mine! But I was 3 or 4 short anyway...:(

Makes me think I better go out and make sure I remember where I put mine! LOL
