Hello All:

I recently purchased a 1954 Super Jet and was wondering if there was any interchange of the clutch and pressure plate that anyone knew of.

I heard somewhere that certain years of Dodges would work, but I can't confirm that, nor did I get the information as to what years worked.

Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in Advance!

The Jet uses the same pressure plate and disc as the '55-'56 Hornets, and are interchangeable with Chysler/Dodge and Studebaker, not sure exactly which years, but definitely the fifties.

Last time I changed a clutch in a 53 Jet, I bought a new replacement disk from NAPA. I think they looked it up in the printed catalogs for the Jet.

I have a pressure plate and disc but no throwout bearing, if you're interested.

Jets used a 9 1/8 inch Borg & Beck clutch. A modern replacement would be a 1960 to end of production Dodge or Plymouth slant six with 9 1/4 inch clutch.
