X-mas poetry-add a verse...
Twas the night before Christmas,
and out in the shed
gramps was working
on his Hudson flat head
A rattle and bang,
he souts out with glee:
we'll see if she'll start
I'll crank her on three.

Re: X-mas poetry-add a verse...
Gramps pumped on the gas
and cranked on the starter;
meanwhile at the North Pole
things couldn't have been harder.
Three reindeer down ill,
Santa just scratched his head:
"I guess that I'll need
to drive a Hudson instead."
"Which one will it be,
for it's getting quite late,
Hornet coupe number three,
or the Commodore Eight?".

Oh lets take the Hudson Truck instead of the slieh this year;
It has three on the 'tree' already, very dependable. and will
haul far more presents....

Re: X-mas poetry-add a verse...
Before santa left earth
For his trip though the sky
The cops stopped his Hudson
On a slam-dunk DUI
Old Santa got rowdy
Way more than you'd think
Now his Hudson's impounded
And he's in the klink.

Twas the night before Christmas,
And out in my shop,
The Hudson gleamed proudly,
Waiting for the motor to spin like a top!!!

Till 1937 the cars were all simple and plain
But now Hudson has a great looking Terraplane
Santa can now deliver all the presents and toys
In his new Terraplane to all the good girls and boys.

Olracer is FAST, and can shift on the fly,
He can pass 'em on the inside, or even up high,
But when rhyming is wanted, or asked for one day,
We find that "alas" it is NOT his forte'.
Lol...love ya ole racer.

Re: X-mas poetry-add a verse...
T'was the night before Christmas,
And, out in Brownie's small shed.
He was working on his Martz Roadster,
As his knukles all bled.
The roadster parts were hanging,
All covered with dirt and oil.
The harder Brownie worked,
The more frustation he did boil.
On the ground lay an old muffler,
Rusty, dented and bent.
All the neighbors were laughing,
At the sounds and the scent.
Then up on the roof-top,
There arose such a chatter.
More neighbors peeked out,
To see what was the matter.
It was Brownie in his HUDSON flight shirt,
Soiled, tattered, bumpy and torn.
A burnt piston in one hand,
The other a rifle and horn.
He said: "I can't take any more,
This old Hudson must die.
To deal with this clunker,
Is like living a lie."
He then pointed his rifle,
At that innocent car.
As he aimed down the barrel,
He said: "Ill not miss by too far."
Six steel jackets latter,
The roadster lay in pieces.
His wife called the family,
Friends, aunts, uncles and nieces.
"Come see what Brownie did!"
His wife cried out loud.
"He has done slaughtered his Roadster!"
"And, he seems rather proud!"
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone...

Re: X-mas poetry-add a verse...
Twas the day before Christmas
and I'm off of work
so it's out to the Terraplane
and the drive shaft I jerk
I install one U-joint with nary a hitch
but the last one I try
I run into a glitch
I drop the bearings all over the floor
I gather them up, but I need just one more
It's now 10AM and my knuckles are bare
and wishing Mordenti or Kostansek were there.
so it's off to the parts store
to buy a new joint
which brings me to the end, so I'll make my point
Merry Christmas to all, and New year too
If this Terraplane was a horse
It would be a bottle of glue.

Hooray! I shouted with glee
A stepdown on ebay, I'll bid with trust
I bid and I won, it didn't come free
Now I shall pray, it will be free of rust!
