Default 55 Olds Super 88

Where can i get a new air filter for a 55 Olds 88 that i just bought. This is my first classic, and i have never seen a wet air filter. Does anyone know anything about them?

it sounds like you have an "oil bath" air cleaner to me.dump out the old oil, clean the whole thing up in the solvent tank, then blow it out with compressed air.then all you have to do is fill it back up to the line where it says "oil level" if that sounds like to much work, you could always gut the thing and find a suitable replacable paper element or K&N to go in there.you have to change the oil on K&N too,so you're not saving yourself a whole lotta work there

Anon, If you drain the oil and wash out the breather do not wash out the fibre stuff under the screen with varsol or any other kind of solvent. If it's as old as the car it will just turn into a pile of rotten mush. It's there only to catch the bugs and rocks. The oil does the real filtering. When refilling with oil only fill to the mark noted on the filter cannister side.
